Continental Divide Trail
The Continental Divide Trail (CDT) travels approximately 2,700 - 3,100 miles (depending on route) between Mexico and Canada along the middle of the United States. The trail crosses through five states New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana.
I hiked the CDT in 2025 starting on April 17th. I reached the New Mexico / Colorado border on May 11th at which point I flipped back to Massachusetts to finish the Appalachian Trail (AT) while I waited for the snow to melt in the mountains of Colorado. After completing the AT on June 16th, I spent a few days at home in Vancouver before returning to the NM / CO border to continue my northbound hike of the CDT. I completed the CDT on September 19th, 2025 when I walked across the Canadian border.
